About Us

​​Lipstick and curls  the Vintage hair and beauty company was founded by Amanda Moorhouse in 2009. She studied hair & make-up at the London College of Fashion and then worked for 10 years in fashion and media. It was her love of all things Vintage and a desire to make the world more glamorous that she decided to set up Lipstick & Curls.

The company has now grown to include a team of 15 fully trained hair & make-up artists. All experts in Vintage styling, able to create any look from a bygone period.

Lipstick & Curls specialises in hair and make-up from the past and can transform you into a jazz era flapper girl, a golden era Hollywood starlet, a rock n roll pin-up or a Mad Men sex kitten.

Lipstick & Curls have been employed by film companies, burlesque artists and celebrities all wanting to perfect the look of a more glamorous age.

Amanda is also a features writer on hair & beauty for several publications and has been a consultant on Vintage hair and make up for several documentaries.
